History of the Firm
Horizon Investment Solutions (Horizon) was founded by David Offer in 1998.
Horizon originally commenced trading as Morgans Stockbroking as an owner managed office. In 2000 ABN AMRO bought 50% of Morgan Stockbroking head office and the business changed its trading name to ABN AMRO Morgans.
In 2008, ABN AMRO was taken over by the Royal Bank of Scotland resulting in a further name change to RBS Morgans.
In 2010, seeking greater independence & versatility in services offered, Horizon changed its license arrangements to Minc Financial Services and then MDS Financial Services.
In July 2011, the firm completed its transition to an independently owned financial services firm when it obtained its own Australian Financial Services license and commenced trading as Horizon Investment Solutions.
Since inception to present day David Offer has been the manager, director & major shareholder of the business.
In 2017 Horizon achieved a major milestone of managing in excess of $300 million for clients of the firm across a range of domestic and international shares and managed funds, property and fixed & variable interest securities. Many clients of Horizon have been with the firm since its inception.
