In order for us to understand your current situation and develop a tailored plan, it’s important that you come to your first formal meeting with as much information about your financial situation as possible.

Information to bring should include details about your income and expenses, assets and liabilities and information on your superannuation and personal insurance (if applicable).

Within this meeting, we ask you questions in order to gain an understanding of your current situation, goals, needs and aspirations. We also provide you with an understanding on how our business works and the services we offer.

Yes, you can actively participate in your choice of investment selection. You can be as hands on as you wish or leave this to our investment management specialists, to assist in the construction and management of your investment portfolio moving forward.

We can provide tax effective investment and retirement planning strategies; however, we recommend that you speak to your accountant or tax agent for specialist advice in this area.

This depends on the complexity of your situation; however, our standard plan is $1,500 plus GST.

The timeframe can vary depending on the complexity of our advice and your circumstances.

Yes. You will have online access your portfolio via our client portal through a unique password. If you have more than one account with us, these can all be viewed in one place at a glance.

Yes. Horizon Investment Solutions uses Integrated SMSF Solutions, a related company, to facilitate our clients’ SMSF tax returns. 

You are not required to use this administration service, if you have an existing relationship with your accountant, however our SMSF clients benefit as they are prioritised by this cost-effective service and have the peace of mind that all of the SMSF compliance requirements will be taken care of.

Of course. This can easily be facilitated.

We encourage all of our clients to meet with us at least annually to have a comprehensive review of all issues, priorities, investments and strategies. This may be more often however, depending on your circumstances.

We offer you the opportunity to review your financial plan when key life events affect your goals and your current strategy, and advice. These may include events such as changes in investments, employment or key life events.

You will also receive phone/email correspondence from your advisor on corporate actions affecting your portfolio, along with any significant market announcements and of course you are most welcome to speak with your financial advisor whenever you like by phone, Zoom or in person.
